All eyes are on temperature control when it comes to a new effort to eradicate polio in Pakistan.
According to The Express Tribune, officials there are upping their efforts to eradicate the disease after a recent case surfaced in Bannu. Their goal is to make sure every child age 5, and under, is vaccinated.
To make that successful, participants in a meeting at the Emergency Operations Center, agreed that the cold chain needs to be strengthened, as areas in the southern region have a higher climate.
"They added vaccines need to be kept in a narrow temperature range from the point of manufacture to their use in an immunization session," the news outlet wrote.
