FTA Announces Call for Entries for 2019 Technical Innovation Awards

Flexographic Technical Association (FTA), producers of the annual Technical Innovation Awards, today announced the 2019 competition is open for entries. Applicants are encouraged to apply early and can submit entries now through Feb. 14, 2019.

Submissions for the Technical Innovation Awards Competition are open to any organization/individual globally within the flexographic supply chain. This includes printers, converters, print buyers, suppliers, designers and students.

Each entry is evaluated by a panel of judges and placed into one of three categories: Prepress-Graphics, Prepress-Pressroom and Heavy Converting Equipment. From there, the entries are judged and scored in six specific areas:

  • Description of Technology
  • Technical Achievement
  • Technical Impact on the Industry’s Future
  • Supporting Material
  • User Testimonials
  • Presentation of Submission

Winners will be announced Sunday, May 5 in New Orleans, LA during Forum 2019’s Awards Banquet. Additionally, the winning technology or technologies will be featured in exclusive FLEXO Magazine articles, highlighted on the FTA website and promoted through various social media channels.
