An April 3rd Chron article featured a unique case in which the CEO of a packaging company pleads guilty to selling counterfeit flea medicine labels and packaging. The Santa Ana-based company, Action Packaging & Design, Inc., sent out counterfeit labels for well-known pet medications Frontline, Frontline Plus, and Merial.

The company’s CEO, Paul Rodriguez Jr., signed a sealed plea agreement that admitted he sent the counterfeit labels to Houston between July 2015 and December 2016. He faces up to 10 years in prison and a possible $2 million fine.
