Clay Howser has joined Silgan Closures as a Project Manager responsible for managing development projects involving both metal and plastic closures. Howser is part of Silgan Closures’ continuing effort to focus on developing innovative concepts for their accounts. He will report to the Director of Project Management and will be based in the Silgan Closures facility in Downers Grove, Illinois.
Howser comes to Silgan Closures with extensive management experience, most recently with Imagine That Beverages, where he was Head of Operations for five years, overseeing product design, product testing, material selection, vendor management, equipment specification, procurement and strategic planning. Prior to that he was Vice President of Operations for Activate Drinks, a company in the beverage dispensing closure segment, and Manufacturing Engineering Manager for closure manufacturer Portola Packaging Corporation from 1992 to 2011.
Clay Howser is a graduate of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute with a BSME degree and is currently completing a Project Management Master’s certificate from Villanova University.
