Sarah Cordes is the Clemson University Robert Testin Outstanding Senior in Packaging Science. Dr. Testin was the first department chair for Packaging Science. Cordes' emphasis area is materials. She has worked at two co-ops. In Spring 2021, she served as a production management co-op at Greif in Taylors, S.C. She spent the following semester as a packaging engineer co-op at Robert Bosch in Anderson, S.C. These co-ops have given her knowledge of the leadership and technical skills needed to deliver a quality product. She is currently interning at the Clemson University Sonoco Institute Packaging Print Lab. Cordes will be graduating in May 2022.

Packaging World Outstanding Packaging Science Senior winner for Spring 2022

Harry Tsang is the Clemson University nominee for the Packaging World Outstanding Senior in Packaging Science. Like many students, he was unsure about his career path upon entering the university and was unaware that a degree in packaging existed. Having made the switch in his sophomore year, he is confident that he could not have made a better decision.

In spring of 2021, he completed his first co-op at Campbell Soup Company, where he discovered that his true interest is working with consumer packaged goods. During the fall of 2021, he completed his second co-op at Unilever where he had the opportunity to work with both Seventh Generation and Ben & Jerry’s. He is extremely grateful for both opportunities as they allowed him to learn more about the industry and grow as a young packaging scientist  prior to his full-time position.

Upon his graduation this spring, he will be returning to Unilever as an Associate Packaging Engineer in Trumbull, Conn.
