Cambridge Security Seals (CSS), a global provider of tamper-evident seals and asset protection products, has expanded its manufacturing capacity as part of its effort to combat the trend of growing turnaround times for custom products within the industry.
As a key part of Phase II of the New York-based company’s multiyear expansion plan, this enhancement includes expanding the physical footprint of its facilities by more than 25% to accommodate the addition of several new high-speed automated production lines that will increase production capacity by more than 25%.
According to Brian Lyle, President of CSS, the expansion is not just physical, but also includes the hiring of new manufacturing personnel and increasing the logistics capabilities and warehousing capacity to more effectively meet the demands that CSS is facing from its rapid global growth and the overall capacity strains within the industry.
A key element of CSS’ growth within the security solutions industry has been its dramatic expansion beyond North America into the global marketplace. Highlighted by the successful launch of CSS Europe in 2015, CSS now services customers across five continents with its tamper-evident, high-security, electronic, and GPS-based supply chain security and asset protection solutions.
Cambridge Security Seals provides a line of tamper-evident, tamper-resistant, and high-security loss prevention seals to customers across a wide range of industries iincluding airlines, freight, logistics, distribution, trucking, retail, cash handling, rail transportation, government, pharmaceutical, food, and beverage, medical and agriculture.
