Marchesini Group: Pharmaceutical Packaging Machinery

From Nov. 21 to 24, 2017, the company will exhibit equipment at Pharmtech, an international exhibition of equipment, raw materials and technologies for the pharmaceutical industry.

Marchesini Group, designer and builder of packaging machines and customized pharmaceutical and cosmetic lines, announced that at Pav.2, Hall 8, Stand B305 of Crocus Expo IEC (Moscow, Russia), three cosmetics and pharmaceuticals machines will be presented to the Russian market: the RSF 24 for ampule filling and sealing, the new BL A420 CW labeler (shown here), and the TURBOMEK 150 emulsifier.

BL A420 CW meets track-and-trace requirements and was developed by Neri, the branch of the Marchesini Group specializing in carton labelling and tracking machines.

The model at Pharmtech features a load cell full integrated into the stepper conveyance system. The compact system can process up to 400 cartons/min.

By integrating the load cell into the toothed belt system of the BL A420 CW, it is able to check each carton’s weight and verify carton position at all times. If the weight is correct, the product undergoes the subsequent processes (serialization, marking and sealing), then it is sent to the next machine. If the weight is incorrect, subsequent processes are skipped and the carton is rejected, according to the “Fail Safe” operating logic.

The high level of flexibility of the BL A420 CW means that all types of printing and vision systems can be installed on it, enabling customization to all the current standards worldwide. This special feature makes the BL A420 CW a suitable and complete machine for tracking, serializing and labeling cartons to provide a unique identity for all the pharmaceutical products packaged.

Meanwhile, RSF can process up to 24,000 ampules/hr, guaranteeing repeatable and sterile filling and sealing operations.

With straightforward size changeover operation, the filling unit can be simply dismantled and sterilized, and provide optimum performance of the laminar flow, which can be easily integrated onto the machine structure.
