In conjunction with the Earth Day 2013 (April 22nd), an international event that mobilizes people to take action to protect the Earth’s environment, the Flexible Packaging Assn. (FPA), has produced a presentation titled Flexible Packaging: Contributing to Sustainability.
The presentation focuses on the role that flexible packaging plays in society and the environmental benefits of using it. Discussed in the presentation are the attributes of packaging, reasons why packaging matters, and how flexible packaging contributes to sustainability.
The presentation is available in the “Sustainable Packaging” section of the FPA Web site and can be used as an educational tool for corporate and sales presentations, community and civic outreach, and incorporated into the learning curriculum of primary and secondary education. It can be used in its entirety or individual slides can be incorporated into other presentations.
FPA has also produced additional flexible packaging sustainability educational tools including the Sustainability and Flexible Packaging brochure, the Flexible Packaging: Less Resources. Less Footprint. More Value brochure, and the Flexible Packaging: Less Resources. Less Footprint. More Value. Fast Facts brochure. These materials offer qualitative and quantitative information on flexible packaging sustainability.
The brochures are also included in the FPA Sustainability Advantages of Flexible Packaging Educational Toolkit. In addition to the brochures the Toolkit includes the Sustainability Assessment of Flexible Packaging Report, the Flexible Packaging Sustainability Resource Guide, the FPA Flex Pack Rap Video; the Flexible Packaging: A Sustainable Solution PowerPoint Presentation; and, the FPA sustainability logos.
The Toolkit is a benefit of FPA membership and available in the “Members Only” section of the Web site. FPA can be reached at 410-694-0800.
