Markem-Imaje, a Dover subsidiary that manufactures product identification and traceability systems, is strengthening its laser technology product line through the acquisition of Solaris Laser, a manufacturer headquartered in Warsaw, Poland.

Solaris has served the marking and coding industry for more than 25 years, supplying advanced fiber, ultraviolet and CO2 laser systems used for product marking and coding in industrial and packaging applications across a broad range of end markets. The acquisition of Solaris enhances Markem-Imaje’s position in identification and traceability equipment, enabling it to better address growing customer demand for laser coding technologies.

“Our customers are increasingly adopting laser marking solutions for more of their product identification and packaging applications,” said Vincent Vanderpoel, CEO of Markem-Imaje. “The addition of Solaris will enable Markem-Imaje and Solaris to offer the most innovative and comprehensive range of laser marking solutions for our customers’ product identification needs in both industrial and fast-moving consumer goods applications.”
