New Urine Test Precisely Diagnoses Prostate Cancer

A team of scientists in Korea have come up with an easier, more accurate way to diagnose prostate cancer.

Although prostate cancer is one of the most common forms in men, diagnostic accuracy in blood tests is surprisingly low at around 30%. Because of this, additional invasive and painful biopsies are needed to confirm. Thankfully, a recent EurekAlert! article reported on a new urine test that aims to improve prostate cancer diagnoses. A team of researchers at the Korea Institute of Science and Technology developed the technique that provides results in just twenty minutes with nearly 100% accuracy.
