A recent FDA article noted the voluntary nationwide recall of Zero Xtreme capsules from Fat Burners Zone. FDA analysis revealed the product to be tainted with sibutramine, classifying it as an unapproved drug. Sibutraine is an appetite suppressant and the active ingredient in Meridia, an FDA-approved drug prescribed for obesity. Meridia was withdrawn from the U.S. market in 2010 after clinical data showed it increases risk of heart attack and stroke.

Fat Burners Zone hasn’t received reports of issues from consumers of the product, but the company is notifying distributors and customers to arrange for return/replacement of affected products.
