A recent NBC News article says Americans are fed up with high prescription drug prices, and they’ve got ideas to drive them down. A new survey found that by a 9-to-1 ratio, Republicans, Democrats, and independents want drug companies to show list prices in their advertising. 80% of Republican participants support giving negotiating power to Medicare in order to lower drug prices for seniors. Almost a third of prescription drug users said that they haven’t complied with doctor’s orders due to high drug costs, meaning they either skip doses, fail to fill prescriptions, or take OTC alternatives.
