Verify Brand, a developer of serialization and traceability software for pharmaceutical and consumer product goods companies, has announced enhancements to its serialization platform. Version 8.0 of the Verify Platform includes user-friendly, real-time analytics for better business insights, as well as updates to existing functionality of the software’s GS1 EPCIS 1.2 standards for the secure and effective exchange of critical data across the supply chain, which continues Verify Brand’s long-standing support for GS1 standards.

With more supply-chain trading partners requiring that data be exchanged in EPCIS 1.2 format, it’s important that pharmaceutical companies deploying serialization understand the variations among competitive platforms and each supplier’s ability to handle EPCIS data exchange.

GS1’s Global Data Synchronization Network (GDSN) was designed to enable trading partners to globally share trusted product data. This efficient exchange of data helps create end-to-end supply chain visibility, critical for effective serialization. Leveraging GS1 and EPCIS safeguards pharmaceutical manufacturers from hidden, sometimes excessive integration costs and network fees. EPCIS 1.2 is fully backward compatible with EPCIS 1.0 and 1.1. It provides the continued inclusion of the latest universal messaging and format standards that make it easier for companies to seamlessly connect with their trading partner for complete supply chain visibility.

Additional 8.0 enhancements include closer alignment with the European Falsified Medicines Directive (FMD) master data requirements and expanded supply-chain analytics. These real-time analytics help companies gain visibility into serialization data and help set The Verify Platform apart from other providers that lack visual reporting based on a wide range of data inputs.
