Miller Lite launches in aluminum pint bottles

The quick-chill, 100% recyclable bottles feature wide (38-mm) openings and are reclosable. The aluminum roll-on pilfer-proof (ROPP) closures are supplied by Closure Systems International Japan (www.csiclosures.com).

The aluminum bottles feature the same high-quality graphics found on Miller’s conventional can packaging, applied using a dry offset printing process. The bottles are manufactured at Ball’s aluminum beverage can plant in Monticello, IN.

Nine-packs of Miller Lite aluminum pint bottles are being tested throughout much of the Midwest and South through the end of 2008. The marketing focus is on convenience stores.
