According to a recent NBC News article, people eating honey-based supplements may be getting more than they bargained for. Apparently the FDA issued a warning to four companies that produce honey products, noting that lab tests revealed the presence of the active ingredients in erectile dysfunction medications Viagra and Cialis. The agency noted that the drugs can cause harm due to a decrease in blood pressure levels. The FDA said that the companies have 15 days to either explain why their products do not violate the law, or explain how they will address the issue.
