According to a recent ENDPOINTS NEWS article the FDA has finalized guidance for industry and FDA staff to quickly and efficiently recall products. The document, Initiation of Voluntary Recalls, offers advice for developing procedures including training, planning and record-keeping to limit the time a dangerous product is on the market. Since recalls can affect the entire supply chain, the FDA encourages having a procedure in place to quickly notify everyone from downstream suppliers to wholesalers and vendors.
