Wearable medical devices gather customized health data for users, so why shouldn’t their fit be customized also? According to a recent Medgadget article, a team of engineers at the University of Arizona has already found a solution in the form of 3D-printed devices that are custom made for each user. The technology can be used to monitor body temperature and muscle deformation during physical activity without the use of a battery. Instead, it uses far-field energy that’s wirelessly harvested from a separate nearby device. A video with more information can be seen here.
