According to a recent SciTechDaily article, scientists at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania screened thousands of existing drugs to see which ones may be able to treat COVID-19. The goal was to find drugs and drug-like molecules that could inhibit the replication of the coronavirus that causes COVID-19, SARS-CoV-2.
