Cornea Implant Helps Blind Man See Again

A recent article from NoCamels discussed a surgical procedure that restored a blind man’s eyesight. The operation was the first artificial cornea implantation performed by CorNeat Vision, an Israeli medtech company. The patient became bilaterally blind 10 years ago due to damage caused by edema, and is now the world’s first successful recipient of CorNeat’s synthetic cornea.
