My name is Mark Florez. I'm with Colorcon functional packaging division here at Pack Expo 2026. We're featuring our one lock closure today, which integrates several features into one closure.
Oftentimes customers are packaging pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals in solid dosage form in a bottle like this and putting in a loose desiccant, which we manufacture by the millions either in a packet form or a canister form.
But there are often times when we wanna integrate that desiccant into the closure. However, the closure's incompatible with with induction sealing because the desiccant is on the wrong side of the product. So if we wanna remove the induction seal and put the desiccant in the closure, we have to compensate for that functionality of the induction seal, which is to create a tight seal to inhibit moisture vapor transmission as well as compensate for the tamper evidence feature of that seal, and we do that in the one lock closure.
In the one lock closure, we have a geometry in the interior of the closure that mates very well with injection blow molded bottles to create a seal very close to induction sealing. Additionally, we have integrated a very unique feature for the tamper evidence, which is a breakaway disc. It's another feature of the induction seal to demonstrate that the product has been opened for the first time. And in this case, when you activate the CRC function of that closure, it, in a push-and-turn fashion, it breaks off the tamper evident disc at the top. So this product is compatible with standard injection blow molded bottles available from the market, and it's available from Colorcon now. So if you're interested, please contact us.
