Sanner, a leading global manufacturer of healthcare packaging solutions and a contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) for medtech products, has achieved the EcoVadis Gold rating. This places Sanner among the top 5% of all companies worldwide assessed by EcoVadis for sustainability performance.
The Sanner Group has been participating in the EcoVadis sustainability assessment for around two years. After being awarded the Bronze rating at the beginning of the year, the company has now risen two levels to achieve the Gold status in October. This places Sanner among the top 5% of more than 150,000 companies assessed worldwide. The rating acknowledges outstanding results in environmental impact, labor practices and human rights, ethics, as well as sustainable procurement, and is particularly well established in the pharmaceutical and medtech industries.
“This milestone strengthens our position as a responsible partner for the pharmaceutical and nutraceutical industry as well as in the CDMO sector,” says Stefan Verheyden, CEO of the Sanner Group. “The EcoVadis Gold status underlines our commitment to maximum transparency and reliability in these demanding markets.” At the same time, the award reflects the commitment of the management team and the dedication of all employees to driving significant changes in sustainability.
Global standards for more sustainability
Sanner has significantly expanded its sustainability and compliance management system within a short period of time and rolled it out in its international locations. Thanks to globally harmonized standards, transparency has been further increased and compliance with regulatory requirements has been ensured in the long term. “The Gold rating is both a recognition of our efforts and a strong motivation to continuously improve. Sustainability is not just a goal, but the way we shape the future,” Verheyden emphasizes. Sanner will therefore further intensify its measures at all locations to continue to fulfill its responsibility towards the environment, society, and the economy in the future.
