Good morning, Chris Canna with Pacteon Group, and what I'm showing you today is one of our robotic layer-forming applications that we've created. This specific application is to focus on the high-speed beverage market. What we're doing here is we're showing that we're using, sorry, the products coming around. We're using some Fanuc LR 10 robots to take an 8 pack of your typical 12-oz. beverage can and create a layer that in, if this wasn't the show, this isn't a real machine, that layer would then work its way downstream to a layer-handling robot that would take those layers and put them directly onto a pallet.
Since we're at a show here, we want this to keep running for everybody. What you're actually seeing is the first two robots are creating the layer, and the second two robots are taking that layer and putting it back into line. A great takeaway from that is to keep in mind that if only the second two robots were working, this could be utilized in a depalletizing function, right? In the current marketplace, it's not uncommon to have to take an existing pallet and break that down into multiple flavors to create a mixed pallet. [I wouldn't say it] couldn't handle any products, but this specific one, like I said is focused on high-speed beverage. We have different end-of-arm tools depending on what kind of product we're handling, so really any product that just comes down a conveyor and needs to be put on a pallet, we can customize the application to it.
