Coolish is a brand of prepackaged soft-serve ice cream from Lotte, Tokyo, Japan, self-served through a resealable spout on the 140-mL pouch. Coolish is available in three squeezable flavors: vanilla, chocolate, and the latest, green tea. It was priced in the freezer section at a Family Mart convenience store in Nagaoya, Japan, at 142¥/USD $1.78.

Coincidentally, during the recent Pack Expo tradeshow, a Coolish pouch was on display in the booth of Cheer Pack North America, a strategic partnership established in 2008 and consisting of Japan’s Hosokawa Yoko, Italy’s Gualapack, and the USA’s CDF Corp. According to Cheer Pack personnel, the pouch structure was improved within the past year through the addition of an insulating microlayer of foam polymer. Besides keeping the product cooler longer in use, the layer aids consumer comfort so the package doesn’t feel as cold while held. It also adds a textured appearance.

This and other of the extensive range of Lotte’s frozen products are also available from the company's vending machines.
