Danaher acquires track-and-trace solutions provider Laetus

Change of ownership will significantly enhance Laetus’ growth opportunities through increased scale and access to complementary capabilities.

Laetus, a global leader in inline quality inspection and track-and-trace systems, announces it has been acquired by Danaher. Laetus will operate as an independent business within the Product Identification Platform.

Alex Lever, newly appointed Managing Director of Laetus, comments: “This is an exciting next step in the development of Laetus, both for our customers and for our associates. We will strengthen our existing solution offerings through continued investment in research and development while benefitting from Danaher’s established software capabilities and global presence.”

Christoph Staub, General Manager for the Track and Trace business in Laetus, adds: “Application of the Danaher Business System will enhance our ability to serve our customers and expand the capabilities of Laetus associates. This acquisition reaffirms the Laetus strategy and accomplishments to date. Our team is excited to be joining a strong company focused on growth and innovation.”

Founded in 1974, Laetus is an industry leader in inline quality inspection systems with thousands of successful installations of its renowned ARGUS, POLYPHEM, and INSPECT solutions across identification, fill inspection, and other quality control applications. With its Secure Track and Trace Solution (S-TTS), Laetus is also a leader in developing robust supply chain solutions for the pharmaceutical, medical, cosmetics, and fast-moving consumer goods industries enabling the requirements of all regulations regarding anticounterfeiting to be fulfilled. Laetus partners with its customers to address their unique serialization and traceability requirements.

Lever continues: “The addition of Laetus to the Danaher Product Identification team enhances the breadth of innovative solutions we offer to the packaging value chain.” Other companies within the Product Identification Platform include Esko, Xrite, Pantone, Wolke, Videojet, Linx, and FOBA.

Angelos Papadimitriou, CEO of Coesia comments: “We are confident this acquisition will offer substantial opportunities for both the customers of Laetus and the employees. We look forward to continued successful commercial cooperation between Laetus and members of the Coesia group such as Flexlink and Hapa.”
