Automated Packaging Systems has launched a short film highlighting its commitment to ensuring its materials are recycled responsibly, encouraging companies to spread the word on how to correctly identify recyclable material.

The film includes information on the types of packaging materials that are recyclable, outlining a list of labels and their meanings that consumers can expect to find on their packaging.

Information on where certain packaging materials can be recycled and the nearest recycling facilities is also provided.

Andy Pretious, UK sales and marketing manager at Automated Packaging Systems, said: “We’re committed to ensuring customers have access to sustainable packaging options, and that’s why 95 per cent of all of our material is recyclable. However, it’s important that when the consumer receives their product, they are aware of the correct ways to dispose of the packaging.

“We encourage businesses to share this educational film with the wider public to help spread the message and highlight how, together, we can work towards a more sustainable future.”

The film is part of Automated Packaging Systems’ wider commitment to making its processes more environmentally friendly, as highlighted in the recent launch of its sustainability hub on its website. The hub shares the actions the company is taking to ensure its products have minimal impact on the environment; key sustainable considerations for customers when choosing packaging processes and materials; and a dedicated section aimed at consumers, providing information on how to be more environmentally conscious.
