Current issues in the packaging industry are also of importance for the member companies of Packaging Valley. This year the focus of ACHEMA is on themes such as flexible production and on chemicals and pharmaceuticals logistics. “In line with this, we are also busy with modularization, agile solutions for small quantities and careful handling and transport processes”, so Kurt Engel, CEO of the packaging network.

Cost optimization, customized machines and efficient processes which function throughout the whole of the value creation chain are the major objectives in Packaging Valley. The companies Binder, E+K, Heitec, HO-MA, itek, Optima, R. Deckert, Rommelag, Seidenader and Wipotec-OCS show proven lines, machines and components. These include new solutions and supplementary service packages to make work considerably easier for the user.

Highlights of the trade fair

Apart from the proven pharma transport system, augmented reality is also a major focus at itek. With this, the engineering office provides support in the planning phase which saves time and costs.

HEITEC focusses on increasing data volumes and presents a solution for simple evaluation and visualization of machine data: HeiTPM.

E+K and HO-MA are specialized in transport and feed solutions. E+K demonstrates its new cost-optimized elevator. Defects and pollution in bottles or other containers can be easily detected with the HO-MA light table.

R. Deckert will be demonstrating an advanced tablet counting, filling and capping machine: TVM 738. The breakage detection system from Meliscout removes faulty products from the vibration plates using a camera and an aspiration unit even prior to the filling process.

Smart Solutions for Pharma Experts – Optima Pharma presents itself under this motto. With the MultiUse platform, Optima Pharma shows how pharmaceutical companies can handle small batch sizes and diverse container types. In addition, the company also introduces Comprehensive Scientific Process Engineering (CSPE) – a process that generates a timeline from the order to start of production that is safe and efficient.

Rommelag presents customized service concepts and digitization solutions which promise the user an all round-carefree-package with Rommelag’s bottlepack aseptic filling lines.

Also presenting here: WIPOTEC-OCS with information on high precision machines for weighing and inspection; Binder shows its production and transport containers for highly sensitive products; Seidenader focuses on serialization solutions.
