Coding and marking specialist Linx Printing Technologies has bolstered its presence in South Asia with the appointment of Nagurum & Company Ltd as its new distributor in Sri Lanka. The newly-established business will sell Continuous Ink Jet (CIJ) printers and Laser coders from Linx.

The appointment meets the growing demand for coding and marking solutions in Sri Lanka, one of the fastest-growing markets in South Asia. Sri Lanka has a stable political situation that is encouraging much investment, and this is resulting in industrial growth and a focus on local manufacturing.

Among the country’s key industries are food, steel, cable, PVC, dairy, and beverages, with the requirement for coding and marking equipment to apply expiry dates, manufacturing dates, batch and serial numbers, particularly as many industries move to more automated systems.

"We are very pleased to be Linx’s new distributor in Sri Lanka, and are looking forward to a mutually beneficial partnership with them,” says K. Subachandran of Nagurum & Company. “While Linx will gain greater access to an emerging market, we will benefit from the industry knowledge and new opportunities that come from working with such an established global brand."
