Garrett Hager, U.S. director of sales and business development, pharma films and medical packaging, Tekni-Films, a Tekni-Plex company, has been appointed to the Healthcare Compliance Packaging Council’s (HCPC) 2017-18 board of directors.

The Healthcare Compliance Packaging Council is a non-profit trade association that promotes the benefits of compliance-prompting pharmaceutical packaging and seeks to improve patient safety.

“I have helped companies find packaging solutions for the past 30 years and therefore am pleased to offer my support to an organization with similar objectives. The goal is to support industry efforts to create packaging solutions that provide patient benefits and also help reduce healthcare costs. I look forward to working with the other board members to support the HCPC’s mission,” said Hager.

“We look forward to closely working with our incoming board to continue our mission of the broader adoption of compliance prompting packaging for improved patient safety, adherence and outcomes and lower healthcare costs,” said Walt Berghahn, HCPC executive director.
