Horn brings to the company more than 30 years of business development experience, supported by a chemical engineering background. He will be reporting to Paul Young, chief executive officer of Tekni-Plex and will be heading the company’s Tekni-Films operations in Erembodegem, Belgium; Tradate and Gallarate, Italy; Holland, Ohio, United States, and Buenos Aires, Argentina.

In the past, he has spearheaded strategic initiatives that have resulted in significant sales and profit growth. He is also an innovative marketer who knows how to deliver new products that provide marketplace solutions. Those attributes make him ideally suited to head our film operations which are focused on the introduction of innovative new materials for the medical and pharmaceutical markets,” said Young.
Prior to joining Tekni-Plex, Horn was head of global helium and rare gases for The Linde Group, AG. He and his team were successful in driving significant growth, both organically and through joint ventures. Horn has spent most of his career in various positions with industrial gas businesses, including the BOC Group and Air Products and Chemicals.
Horn has a Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering the University of Illinois and a Master’s Degree in business administration from Rutgers University.
