The new global positioning is a result of the company’s recent acquisition of 3M’s PolyMask business, coupled with its existing Surface Guard product line and operations.

“There is strong brand equity in both the Surface Guard and the PolyMask names. Combining these two business entities into an abbreviated new name allows us to bring these products together under one brand, while still maintaining continuity. Our goal is to continue to create synergies that lead to business growth by leveraging the full portfolio of Pregis solutions in the market,” said Kevin Baudhuin, president and chief executive officer.

Going forward, Arun Lamba who has been general manager of Surface Guard, will retain the same title for the combined SG PolyMask business. He will oversee product facilities in Aurora, Ill. and Conover, N.C. Thor Petersen has been named vice president of national sales and Harald Riphagen, is the vice president of international sales.

SG PolyMask products are used in a wide variety of industries and applications including plastics, metals, laminates, wood, automotive, transportation, building and construction.
