Improved efficiency and production, quick and easy changeover, and a compact footprint ... these are just some of the benefits offered by Triangle’s Flex 1 horizontal cartoner.

The Flex 1 is designed to load single-, twin-, or triple-packages at speeds up to 100 cartons per minute. And, with changeover to full production in less than 15 minutes, packagers can easily run multiple products and carton sizes.

In addition to quick changeover and a compact footprint of 10’ x 8’8”’, the Flex 1 provides several benefits over traditional horizontal cartoners, including:
• Gentle product handling;
• Simple operation;
• Extended production runs with an optional extended carton magazine that holds up to 1000 carton blanks;
• Elimination of the barrel-loader assembly for reduced complexity, lower maintenance, and reduced product breakage;
• Rockwell Automation / Allen Bradley ControlLogix, AB Kinetics Servo Drives, and AB PowerFlex AC Drives

The Flex1 features servo drives for precise motion control and eliminates the need to synchronize bagger and cartoner. Designed for bag in box applications such as cereal, powder, grains, and bakery products, the Flex 1 is also suitable for IQF products or trays (HMR kits).

Triangle will feature ongoing demonstrations of the Flex 1 Bag in Box System in Booth S-2430 at Pack Expo International Chicago, November 6-9, 2016. The cartoner will be integrated with Triangle’s Model XYS08 vertical form fill seal (VFFS) Bagger and Spee Dee Auger. Model XYS08 is a continuous motion vffs bagger that offers high speed bagging in a compact footprint, and improves productivity. It is ideal for applications such as rice and powder, confectionery products, granola, snacks and nuts, and more. The bagger will be exhibited with optional Ultrasonic welding, a cold sealing technology that provides multiple benefits, including savings on film, material, energy and labor, as well as improved product quality and OEE.
