Clondalkin Flexible Packaging Harlingen won the award for their unique flexo printing technology used to create the eye-catching packaging for the Bofrost “Suppengemüse” brand.
The award is another confirmation that this new generation of flexo print is the best quality packaging and print solution following the 2015 award for Technical Innovation at the prestigious EFTA-Benelux Flexographic awards.
Sales and Marketing Director, Jack van der Heiden, from Clondalkin Flexible Packaging Harlingen, commented: “We are so proud and delighted to win another award, and now on the European level. The award is recognition of the excellent results we have achieved for our client in close cooperation with Team WKA. According to the jury, the premium print quality was the key aspect of the decision to award Clondalkin Harlingen winner in the ‘Flexo Medium Web’ category.
Jack van der Heiden concludes “The packaging we produced for the Bofrost “Suppengemüse” brand was printed using only CMYK with an overall laquer to achieve a high intensity of colour and excellent quality finish. We achieved this using Sun Passion ink, minimum 54 dpcm screening and 460 line annylox rollers. Key to our success in doing this was the expertise and advice of Team WKA (Warburger Kliché Anstalt).” Team WKA translated the needs and demands of Bofrost and created the fundament and quality base of this CMYK solution in flexo.
