Entire industry benefits when Partner Program convenes at PACK EXPO & Pharma EXPO

Industry associations that want to better serve their members and raise their profiles have continued to sign on to the Partner Program at PACK EXPO International 2014 and Pharma EXPO (Nov. 2–5; McCormick Place, Chicago). PMMI, The Association for Packaging and Processing Technologies, which owns and produces the PACK EXPO portfolio of trade shows, reports the 2014 group of partners is the largest seen to date.

This content was written and submitted by the supplier. It has only been modified to comply with this publication’s space and style.

“The professional organizations that represent our attendees understand the value of the shows. They see how being at PACK EXPO International and Pharma EXPO strengthens industry connections that support their own organizations’ missions and goals, and creates more opportunities for innovation across industry segments,” says Jim Pittas, vice president, Trade Shows, PMMI.

Since July, seven additional associations have joined the Partner Program:

  • ABIEF - Brazilian Flexible Packaging Association

  • American Meat Institute (AMI)

  • Healthcare Compliance Packaging Council (HCPC)

GreenBlue’s Sustainable Packaging Coalition (SPC) advances sustainability in packaging through science-based research, information, tools and efforts to help build packaging systems that encourage economic prosperity and a sustainable flow of materials. For Nina Goodrich, executive director of GreenBlue and SPC director, being at PACK EXPO allows a highly-targeted message to reach the correct audience:

“Working with organizations and associations like PMMI has been an effective way to advance the sustainable packaging discussion and help industry members embed sustainability into their operations. PACK EXPO has helped the SPC to further develop business relationships and maintain our position as a leader in packaging sustainability. We are happy to be working with PMMI again for PACK EXPO International in 2014, and look forward to seeing what is on the horizon for the packaging industry,” Goodrich says.
