This year's TEAM 2011 NX Digital Simulation Excellence Award was awarded to SCA Cool Logistics for its achievements in using the Thermal and Flow Simulation module of Siemens PLM Software's NX™ software.
During 2011, SCA Cool Logistics has developed and proven a highly agile and accurate NX simulation process, successfully predicting the thermal performance of their cold chain packaging and distribution systems.
Simon Hubbard, Technical Leader for SCA Cool Logistics, commented: "We are all very proud that our simulation achievements have been recognised and acknowledged. Gair Matthews, from TEAM Engineering, explained: "Thermal engineers are faced with huge challenges when predicting accurate correlations of simulation results over a 5-day period. SCA Cool Logistics has demonstrated a very high level of in-house expertise using NX Simulation software, proving this digital process is not only reliable but also presents a substantial time-saving benefit to their business. We felt this merited recognition and marked them as worthy winners of the 2011 award."
SCA Cool Logistics was presented with its award during the one-day NX Technical Seminar presented this month by TEAM Engineering. The one-day event, which was held at the National Space Centre, attracted representatives from an array of engineering industries, and focused on tutorial topics to understand the productivity gains of using Siemens PLM Software's Teamcenter® software, as well as its NX CAD, CAM, and CAE offerings.
