Schreiner MediPharm Wins Prestigious TLMI Innovator Award for Needle-Trap Label with Detachable Parts

Schreiner MediPharm, a Germany-based global provider of specialty pharmaceutical labeling solutions for 60 years, was once again recognized by the North American Tag and Label Manufacturers Institute (TLMI), whose annual competition acknowledges ingenuity and technical quality in products throughout the industry.

This year Schreiner - whose products have been lauded by TLMI in previous competitions - won the coveted "Innovator Award" for its latest generation of Needle-Trap, which features detachable label parts.

Needle-Trap is a cost-effective labeling solution that helps prevent accidental needlestick injuries to healthcare providers. The compact, economical design of its integrated safety mechanism allows the needle to be quickly and safely secured after use. Needle-Trap can be easily incorporated into conventional labeling systems and is adaptable to the most common syringe types.

Needle-Trap's most recent upgrade, combining needlestick prevention with detachable label parts that enable reliable and efficient documentation of the administered injection in the patient's medical records or vaccination card, helped earn it the Innovator Award.

"We are grateful the Schreiner product deemed 'Most Innovative' by TLMI is also one that helps protect healthcare providers," said Gene Dul, President of Schreiner MediPharm U.S. "The award exemplifies the quality of this special label design and the overall technical expertise of Schreiner MediPharm in the field of printing technology."

Based in Gloucester, Massachusetts, TLMI is the leading association in the North American labels and narrow web industry. Each year, printers from around the world show off their most formidable products, amounting to a display of the best the industry has to offer. A total of 78 awards were presented in this year's competition.
