Catalent Pharma Solutions Appoints New Vice President/General Manager of Consumer Health Softgel

Catalent's consumer health business offers a wide range of differentiated products formulated in consumer preferred dosage forms such as easy-to-swallow softgel, LIQUI-GELS® and VEGICAPS® capsules, EASYBURST™ chewable capsules and ZYDIS® fast-dissolve tablets. Mr. McFadden will be located at Catalent's corporate headquarters in Somerset, NJ. Jorge Castro, the incumbent in this role, is retiring from Catalent at the end of March.

Mr. McFadden comes to Catalent with more than twenty years of experience in marketing, sales and general management in the consumer healthcare and animal health industries. Most recently, he was Executive Vice President, Sales and Marketing, for the Pharmaceutical Distribution business of Cardinal Health where he led a team of professionals in the commercialization of pharmaceutical products and value-added services to customers in the national account, acute care and retail independent segments. Prior to that, Mr. McFadden spent nineteen years at Pfizer (formerly Wyeth) in the Consumer Health division in a wide range of sales and marketing positions of increasing responsibility, culminating in roles such as Executive Vice President, U.S. Marketing and Executive Vice President, U.S. Sales and Customer Support. Mr. McFadden also held key assignments with international scope as Senior Vice President, International Marketing assisting in the global expansion of the Centrum Franchise and as Executive Vice President, International Commercial Operations for the animal health division.

Mr. McFadden holds a BA from Williams College and an MBA in Marketing from the Darden School at The University of Virginia.
