Clondalkin Group unveils new Flexible Packaging Division Business Unit structure

Leading international packaging company Clondalkin Group has revealed a new business structure for its successful Flexible Packaging Division in Europe.

The Business Unit structure will create greater cohesion between the division's eight operating companies across Europe; expertise and best practice will now be shared more smoothly within the newly-formed Business Units: Performance Films & Foils, Engineered Films, Laminated & Coated Products and Trading.

CEO of the Group's Flexible Packaging Division, John Fitzgerald, said: “I am delighted to announce the formation of our renewed Flexible Packaging Division Business Unit structure.

“The changes will facilitate the appointment of a new management team who will use their vast collective experience of the packaging sector to ensure we remain at the forefront of the Flexible Packaging industry and continue to expand our business by creating innovative and high quality products.

“Clondalkin Group's international presence, with over 40 production sites in ten countries and extensive experience in converting all packaging material substrates to service a diverse range of end markets, means we are able to provide top-quality packaging solutions for a range of sectors across the world - and our new Business Unit structure will further enhance our ability to meet the market's requirements.”

Clondalkin Group's Flexible Packaging Division is a specialist supplier of flexible packaging materials. The Business Units specialise in coated and laminated waxed papers and foils, high-barrier lidding materials, innerliner for the tobacco industry, pre-cut and reel-fed lids mainly for the food sector, custom shrink sleeves, cast and blown polymer-based plastic substrates and converted products, and provides market-leading packaging solutions and services via its Trading Business Unit.

The Division provides packaging solutions to a wide range of end-user markets including food & beverage, retail, tobacco, industrial, and agricultural & horticultural sectors.

The Division's Performance Films & Foils Business Unit is comprised of Vaassen Flexible Packaging in the Netherlands, NYCO in Switzerland and Chadwicks in the UK; the Engineered Films Business Unit includes Wentus in Germany and Flexoplast in the Netherlands; the Laminated & Coated Products Business Unit comprises Cats-Haensel, based in the Netherlands and Germany as well as LPF Flexible Packaging in the Netherlands; and the Trading Business Unit is the Van Der Windt Group which has locations in the Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark, the UK and Ireland.
