Printpack Enters the Medical Packaging Market

Printpack Inc., a flexible packaging and specialty rigid container manufacturer, announced that it has purchased the Marshall, NC manufacturing location of Amcor's Medical Packaging group. The sale was required by the U. S. Department of Justice upon Amcor's acquisition of Alcan's Medical Flexibles business. The Marshall facility manufactures films that are converted into header bags and forming films for sterilizable medical devices. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
