Going forward, Morenos will be the exclusive distributor of MOCON and Lippke instrumentation in Greece, Bulgaria, Romania, Serbia and Macedonia.

“Morenos is one of the most experienced food processing and packaging machinery sales agencies in the Balkan region. The new partnership will enable the MOCON/Lippke organization to provide more customized attention to food, packaging, and medical device manufacturers in southeastern Europe via Morenos' offices in each of these countries,” said Franz Sturm, managing director, Lippke.

Morenos will be representing MOCON/Lippke's extensive line of instrumentation including: barrier and headspace analysis, leak detection and burst testing for food, beverage and medical packaging.

“Having a partner whose offices are located in close proximity to manufacturing plants helps us provide even better level of service to support our gold-standard instrumentation on a global level. Our objective is to help brand owners quickly and accurately address issues related to permeation testing, package integrity, shelf-life evaluation, cost reduction and safety,” said Sturm.

Up until now, the Balkans had been serviced out of Lippke's headquarters in Germany. Expanding southeastern European economies prompted the company to enter into an agreement which would provide enhanced service to manufacturers in the region.
“Morenos established itself as a food manufacturing sales agent more than 40 years ago. We have a long-standing history of providing companies with the equipment they need to meet their manufacturing requirements. This new partnership with MOCON/Lippke will allow us to take our product offering to a new level,” said Nikos Morenos, managing director, Morenos.
