Beckhoff USA has brought Andrew Bollinger on board as its IPC Product Manager. This core role at the provider of PC-based control presents a significant task. However, Bollinger’s experience in application engineering, business development, and product management, with an emphasis on industrial control systems, highlights his qualifications to take on this job. Bollinger reports to Daymon Thompson, Director of Product Management.

“With more than 20 years of experience, Andrew’s background as an engineering and marketing professional in the automation industry really speaks for itself,” Thompson said. “He offers a diverse perspective from his work in different regions, markets, and roles. Andrew is well equipped to step into the role as the top promoter and technical expert in the U.S. for Beckhoff’s broad portfolio of industrial PCs, embedded PCs, HMI hardware, OS options, and more.”

Since his first role as a manufacturing engineer for General Motors, Bollinger has experience in a range of applications engineering, sales, and product management positions. Bollinger focused on business development and technical sales at Siemens for the past decade, most recently serving as Industrial PC, AI and Edge Computing Business Development Manager.

“Beckhoff was way ahead of the curve when it started promoting PC-based control in the ’80s, and through consistent development, it remains at the forefront of IPC innovation today,” Bollinger said. “I’m thrilled to use my experience to tackle this new role – and not just because Beckhoff technology is second to none. The company culture, especially in the strong Product Management team, makes Beckhoff an excellent place redefine what’s possible in automation and solve our customers’ toughest challenges.”

Bollinger earned a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from the University of Cincinnati and an MBA from Wright State University.
