TCGRx’s CompletePac™ addresses the growing need for adherence packaging at the point of discharge from hospitals and rehabilitation units in long-term care. The product also provides a method for handling discontinued medication in a safe and effective way in skilled nursing facilities.
The CompletePac closes the packaging loop with the use of TCG’s ATP Series. Through a proprietary interface, the ATP generates oral solid medication in unit-dose packaging and then integrates them into a larger, clearly labeled overwrap pouch. The pouch can be organized for single- or multiple-day discharge amounts or for specific pass times. Additional features of the new pouch packaging include multi-line printing as well as 2D and linear barcode printing. Various package sizes and bags are available in single-use or resealable options. Unopened unit-dose packaged meds can also be returned to inventory, which aims to save the pharmacy money.
