Wyeth, Teva speakers to address ISPE annual meeting

Boneh, director of global engineering at Teva Global Generic Resources, will speak about Teva�s Jerusalem oral solid-dosage plant that was recently completed and approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. Portwood, president of Wyeth�s Technical Operations and Product Supply Organization, will discuss the importance of integrating standardized systems in manufacturing.

ISPE is a global not-for-profit society representing 25,000 pharmaceutical manufacturing professionals in 90 countries. The annual meeting, presented as �delivering today, transforming tomorrow,� will also include sessions on Product Quality Lifecycle Implementation and bring together regulators from the FDA, the European Medicines Agency, and the Ministry of Labor and Human Welfare.

The Overall Winner of the 2007 Facility of the Year will be announced at the event as well. Category winners for 2007 are Cook Pharmica of Bloomington, IN; Genentech of Ocean City, CA; Shanghai Roche Pharmaceuticals, Ltd. of Shanghai, China; Taiyo Pharmaceutical Industry Co., Ltd. of Takayama City, Japan; and Vetter Pharma-Fertigung GmbH & Co. KG, of Ravensburg, Germany.
