FDA Extends EpiPen Expiration Dates in Response to Regional Shortages

Each summer, parents purchase EpiPens to protect their allergy-afflicted children during the pending school year. This year, the demand has outweighed supply resulting in spot shortages around the country. The FDA has subsequently extended the expiration dates on certain batches of the devices to four months beyond their printed expiration date.
