FDA Extends EpiPen Expiration Dates in Response to Regional Shortages

The FDA has extended the expiration dates of EpiPens to overcome shortages; some could be effective up to four months past their expiration date.

This year, the demand has outweighed supply resulting in spot shortages around the country. The FDA has subsequently extended the expiration dates on certain batches of the devices to four months beyond their printed expiration date.
