A recent Patch article discussed another way the medical marijuana industry is catching up with the illegal marijuana industry: same-day delivery. New York-based medical marijuana company Vireo Health will be the first to offer convenient same-day delivery service on Long Island. The company’s founder and CEO Kyle Kingsley, M.D. said, “Our same-day home delivery service is designed to match the convenience that New Yorkers have become accustomed to in the era of Amazon, Uber and Seamless.”
A team of security experts, pharmacists, and health care providers designed Vireo’s existing home delivery service. The system’s increasing popularity has achieved economies of scale that will allow the company to offer same-day delivery throughout the Greater New York City area. Customers who place an order before noon are eligible for the new same-day service.
