The AFC integrated conveyor system combines a Dump Clean bag break station with a Spiralfeeder flexible screw conveyor, creating a single, portable unit. The bag break station sits atop the conveyor infeed hopper, allowing the system to fit into tight processing lines and eliminating the ductwork needed to connect the station to the conveyor in a traditional configuration. Suitable for materials and ingredients that may generate dust when loaded into a process, the powder transfer equipment features an integrated fan and filter system that continuously draws fine particles inside the unit before they can escape as nuisance dust. As bags are emptied, the powders, pellets, granules, or other bulk material passes into the sealed conveyor infeed hopper for automated transfer to a mixer, bagger, or container. A dust collection hopper captures fine particles for reuse and designed-in fork pockets promote safe, easy movement from one processing line to another by forklift. The bulk material handling system is offered in carbon steel as standard, in stainless steel for sanitary processing, and/or with explosion-proof upgrades for managing combustible dusts in hazardous locations.
