Available in section or module designs with variable repeat, this technology can be integrated into new printing or converting presses or retrofitted into existing presses. This new design accommodates web widths of up to 80” at SERVO driven speeds of up to 2,000 ft/min (which requires the temperature control of lubrication fluids and ambient temperature). Specially selected bearing applications as well as electronic components allow for micrometric depth adjustments and guarantee that set parameters are maintained. This provides partially controlled depth cutting for “easy open” features even in thin gauge film. Innovative waste removal systems are also available. Shafts, rolls, tools and drive elements are all optimized by electro dynamically balancing. For quick size or product change the modules have integrated caster rolls. Once modules are removed to the cart they can be either rolled or moved away on an air cushion.
