Softbox Systems: Reusable Parcel Shipper Range

AEON shippers use vacuum insulation panels and phase-change modules to enable in excess of 96-hour temperature stability and long-term repeatable high performance in reuse.

Softbox Systems, a global provider of cold chain packaging for the pharmaceutical industry, has launched AEON—the next generation of reusable high-performance parcel shippers.

AEON, which means “an indefinite and very long period of time,” is a reusable temperature control parcel shipper. It uses vacuum insulation panels and phase-change modules to enable in excess of 96-hour temperature stability and long-term repeatable high performance in reuse.

The shipper improves user experience, can be confidently and reliably reused for a long period of time and can be easily and cost-effectively refurbished by the client.

It addresses three main customer challenges: ensuring product integrity, reducing total cost of ownership, and eliminating packaging waste.

Initially, AEON will be sold in three payload sizes for 2⁰C to 8⁰C temperature control. Other temperature ranges (15⁰C to 25⁰C and -20⁰C) will be launched in December 2017.
