Bennett Packaging-Kansas City, Inc., was recognized for its direct-to-corrugate digital printing capability. At the 2016 Package Printing Excellence Awards, Bennett won six awards, four of which were for digitally printed corrugate projects.
Bennett’s submission a the Welch’s Concord Harvest pallet skirt won second overall in the “Best of Show” category and first place in the “Corrugated (Post/Direct Print): Digital” category. Bennett received two other awards in the Corrugated Digital category for its Welch’s Sparkling display and Boulevard Tank 7 packaging. Judges told Bennett that the detail and color in the graphics from the digitally produced corrugated packaging and displays were unexpected by the judges, but worthy of praise. In addition to digital entries, Bennett was awarded second and third place in the “Corrugated (Post/Direct print)–Flexo” category.
