Tekni-Plex, Inc. has announced that Howard Ou has joined the company as sales director of its Asia operation, headquartered in Suzhou, China. The position has been created to help shape and drive growth in China and other parts of Asia.
“Howard joins Tekni-Plex at a pivotal time for our organization in Asia. Our recent $15 million investment in a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Suzhou underscores our commitment to our medical tubing, medical compounds and dispensing customers. With Howard’s extensive packaging background, he will play a key role in helping to meet the needs of our customers in China and Greater Asia,” said Michael Luo, general manager, Tekni-Plex China.
Ou comes to Tekni-Plex with significant experience as a packaging industry sales executive. Most recently he was sales director of Berry Global Asia. Ou has also held positions with Albea China, a French packaging company focused on beauty and healthcare, as well as Aptar, a market leader in dispensing systems.
Ou has a master’s degree in economics from The Academy of Chinese Social Science, Beijing, and undergraduate degrees in management engineering and industrial engineering from South China University of Technology, Guangzhou, Guangdong, China. He resides in Suzhou, China.
