The Flexible Packaging Association is pleased to announce that the FPA 2017 Annual Meeting will be held March 1-3, 2017 at the Boca Raton Resort and Club, A Waldorf Astoria Resort in Boca Raton, Florida. The meeting will include content-rich educational sessions and great networking events. Captain Scott Kelly, history-making U.S. Astronaut and a retired U.S. Navy Captain, will deliver the keynote address on Friday, March 3, 2017. During his record-breaking year in space, Captain Kelly captivated the world while laying the groundwork for the future of space travel and exploration. He will share some of what he learned during his 143-million-mile adventure as an astronaut, including lessons on teamwork, leadership and perseverance gained during his year in space. The meeting will also feature speaker Marci Rossell, former Chief Economist, CNBC and a leading financial expert, who will discuss factors that have contributed to our current economic environment and will outline her forecast for what businesses should expect in 2017, touching on a range of topics including government regulations, global currency shifts, implications of a federal rate hike, and the impact of the 2016 Presidential race and incoming new administration.

The meeting will also examine key issues of importance to the flexible packaging industry including: a Preview of the State of the Flexible Packaging Industry Report, Rob Tiede, Vice President Global Flexible Packaging and Packaging Services, Sonoco Flexible Packaging; European Flexible Packaging Update, Jan Homan, Chairman, Flexible Packaging Europe and Member, Supervisory Board Constantia Flexibles; Strategy for End-of-Packaging-Life Management for Flexible Packaging, Jeff Wooster, Global Sustainability Director, The Dow Chemical Company; Polyolefin Market Update, Nick Vafiadis, Global Business Director, Polyolefins and Plastics, IHS Chemical; and a Roadmap for FPA's Advocacy Program, Alison Keane, FPA President and CEO.

The Meeting will include great opportunities to interact with industry leaders and peers during several networking events including the Welcome Reception and Flexible Packaging Achievement Awards Dinner (March 1); the FPA Annual Meeting Golf Tournament, Buffet Lunch and Thursday evening Networking Reception (March 2); and the Buffet Lunch on Friday (March 3).
